If you want to give a gift of perfume to someone special, there are some things you must consider. Give a lot of thought to the type and dollar value of the perfume gift you wish to give. A careful selection will ensure the recipient will not only use the perfume gift, but enjoy using it as well. Gathering dust while just sitting on a shelf will not happen to your perfume gift if you take the time to find the best perfume gift for your loved one.

Another thing to consider when looking at giving a perfume gift is will the person actually wear perfume. A few individuals have allergies and sensitivities to fragrances that would make a perfume gift a not so good choice. Other individuals may not wear fragrances routinely but may enjoy a gift that includes perfumed sachets, lotions or fragrant candles. These types of gifts are enjoyable for a person to have and use in the home as home decor or as fragrances.
If the individual does like wearing perfume then the gift should be a scent that they will appreciate and be able to use. Men often make the mistake of picking out a scent they have smelled on another person at one time or another and assume the special person in their life will like it. This is not necessarily the right decision. The gift giver should take the time to find out what types of scent the person likes to wear and choose either the same scent or one very similar. For anyone who is not familiar with the perfume industry the choice of perfume gifts is breathtaking and can be overwhelming. It is important to understand the various types of fragrances that can be chosen. True perfume is usually very costly but is the most potent of all the fragrance strengths. The perfume bottles are small and very pretty. They are designed to represent the personality of the scent and the designer as well. If someone has a large budget, the gift of true perfume is a very nice choice and will be appreciated.
For individuals who have less to spend or who do not need such a costly gift, less potent perfumes can be just as appreciated as expensive perfumes. Because these types of fragrances are less potent, they cost much less and will come in larger bottles. Some perfume companies even offer a perfume gift package that will come with several small bottles of their perfumes in various forms. This is a very nice choice for a perfume gift.
